Tony is widely recognised as one of Australia’s most respected risk and process safety management specialists and has traveled the world on behalf of global corporations teaching and facilitating their operations in meaningful risk management. He has produced globally utilised risk management approaches including SQRATM and Outrage© tools and has worked on various committees and publications for industry.
Tony is the co-author, with Rob Hogarth, of “Risk Bandits: Rescuing Risk Management from Tokenism” (published by Balboa Press) and spent 5 years on the board of NOPSEMA advising federal and state government ministers on offshore petroleum safety and environmental performance, and two years on the executive committee at Newcrest Mining as Head of Risk where he introduced the first fully quantified risk management framework across all risks.
Susan is a registered organisational psychologist with extensive experience in both working within organisations in Human Resource and leadership roles, as well as consulting as a psychologist to organisations and individuals. With her background, Susan also has the capability to work with individuals facing workplace issues, such as conflict, and is able to provide executive and leadership coaching, where she is able to use her professional experience, as well as her knowledge of psychological processes and methodologies. She has a strong interest in ensuring that individuals make informed and suitable choices about their careers, especially when recognising that a career change may be necessary. Susan utilises a range of assessment and other tools to assist in matching an individual’s capabilities, interests, values and temperament to a role.

Dr Carolyn Boyd
Carolyn is a researcher in applied psychological research, with a primary focus on stress and wellbeing at work. As a former Research Associate at the University of South Australia, she assisted in the design, coordination, and reporting of several major Australian Research Council-funded projects. These include the Australian University Stress Study, a national study of occupational stress and wellbeing among university employees; Transition from School to Work, a 10-year study of the effects of employment and unemployment on South Australian school-leavers; and Helping Retail Workers Deal with Stress at Work, an investigation of the relationship between working conditions and with the SDA Employees’ Association.
She has co-authored a variety of national and international academic publications, including journal articles, books, book chapters, and edited books.
Carolyn has a keen interest in helping employers and employees to identify the difficulties that may be giving rise to employee stress and disengagement at their workplace, as well as the resources that can be harnessed to counteract difficulties and to promote engagement, wellbeing, and productivity. She employs a variety of research methods, ranging from large-scale quantitative surveys, to more tailored focus group and interview-based tools. She is currently undertaking consulting work investigating the components of individual and team-based workplace resilience.
